At the very least 17 pupils have died after a college in central Kenya caught hearth on Thursday night time, police stated.
There are fears the dying toll may rise as greater than a dozen others have been taken to hospital with extreme burns.
The reason for the hearth at Hillside Endarasha Major in Nyeri county isn’t but identified.
President William Ruto known as the hearth “horrific” and “devastating”, and has ordered an investigation.
“These accountable will probably be held to account,” Mr Ruto wrote on social media.
A staff of investigators has been deployed to the college, police stated.
