Hurricane Beryl is now a “probably catastrophic” Class 5 hurricane, the earliest ever to succeed in that energy within the Atlantic.
The storm, fueled by record-warm waters, made landfall on Grenada’s Carriacou Island on Monday as an “extraordinarily harmful” Class 4 hurricane with winds that had elevated to 150 mph.
Grenada and the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines have been reeling from a storm that most likely would be the area’s most intense hurricane on document.
