Organisers say the lads’s and girls’s Olympic triathlons solely have a 60% probability of going forward on Wednesday after the lads’s occasion was postponed on Tuesday.

World Triathlon president Marisol Casado had beforehand stated there was an 80% probability the lads’s triathlon would happen on Tuesday.

When requested what the probabilities are of Wednesday’s triathlons occurring, Casado advised BBC Sport the percentages are “60-40” in favour of them happening.
